I should sleep.
I knew this would happen. I knew the third week I'd go crazy. I told everyone. I said, after the holidays I'm going to have nothing to do and I'm going to go crazy. And here I am, sitting in bed checking Facebook and writing and not going to sleep like I should. Today I bought a 1000-piece puzzle that is just a picture of a big bunch of beads. Lots and lots of multicolored, mismatched beads. Sometimes the beads are in tins, but the tins are surrounded by just a big mess of beads, filling up the whole frame. There is also a blue shoelace and some weird things like a little lightbulb. I got about thirty percent through and then made myself go upstairs. I was talking to myself about my puzzle-completing strategy at that point. It was eleven o'clock, and I was just crouching over the dining room table with the chandelier light on, squinting at the pieces and saying things like "Excellent" every so often to NOBODY and laughing a little sometimes at the brilliance of my puzzle solving plan.

On the bright side, I ate sushi today, so I can check off another thing on my "Things to do before I go back to Tufts" list. Here is what I still need to do:

- Take a bath.
- Light candles.
- Go in the ocean.
- Paint with Avery.
- Drive to Amoeba Music.
- Swim in the pool.

These things are harder to accomplish now that Dad's going back to work, and my siblings are going back to school, and it's cold outside. By cold, I mean fifty degrees and cloudy. Not sunny. It actually stopped being sunny after I recorded a video about how sunny it was and tagged all the East Coast people.

When I'm not thinking about the puzzle, I am thinking about what I'm going to do the day I leave for Tufts. Mostly it has to do with what I will wear. I packed my carry-on almost a week ago accidentally. I filled it with tea and hot cocoa mix and all the good things I got for Christmas and then kind of went "Oh. Not time for that yet. Oops." and left it on my floor all packed and open so I can throw things in it as I get closer. When I get back to Tufts, I will be wearing my new red tights and new jeans, and my warm brown boots, which I miss wearing, and my hair will be at least six inches shorter. Also I will have new nail polish and toe polish, because Mom found old gift certificates to that manicure place on Sepulveda. I'll wear my vest and jacket and a long sleeve undershirt and my long sleeve button shirt, and gloves, and a scarf, and my Uncle Gus's earflap lama hat from Peru. I'll also have my new voice recorder handy, and I'll have my Thing for Holding Stuff In close by. (I think it's actually called a jewelry roll, or something, but I don't care; I keep my comic-writing supplies in it now.)

When I get back to Tufts, I'm going to have a dance party in my room until people show up. I'm just going to dance around to music. I'll make a really good playlist on the plane flight. I'm going to walk up the hill with snow all around and my blue roller and my guitar, and I'm going to fab into Houston and bounce up the stairs and throw myself into 312 and just dance around forever.

Then I will make hot cocoa.

Wow. I wish I was going back soon enough that I could make all these plans, but two weeks is too long.

But I totally know what you mean, about going crazy. Even with all the things that I haven't done yet that I need to do before intersession ends, I still... what am I going to do for TWO WEEKS without snow or the dining hall or CLASSES or ramen or staying up too late in the SU or people to stay up too late with in the SU.

Yeah, I'm going crazy too, I think.

P.S. You forgot about irony skating.
P.P.S. Can you let me know when you're going in the ocean? I'd like to come with.
